Christians should Come to Unity to Carry Out God’s Prophesies
Passage: Ezra 3
The exiled Jews were authorized to return home and rebuild their precious city, Jerusalem. All the released captives were excited to see their dreams come true, and they all agreed to start a project that would revamp God’s temple that the Babylonians have destroyed.
The returned Jews were very excited about their miraculous breakthrough; they repaired the Lord’s temple and praised God in one accord – to the extent that their enemies heard their testimony songs from a far distance.
The scripture reported;
“Then Jeshua with his sons and brothers, Kadmiel, with his sons, and the sons of Judah, rose as one to oversee those working on the house of God: the sons of Henadad with their sons and their brethren the Levites. When the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord, the priests stood in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise the Lord, according to the ordinance of David king of Israel. And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the Lord: “For He is good, For His mercy endures forever toward Israel. Then all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid” (Ezra 3:9-11).
The Devil Is No Match For United Christians
Great things are done for God when Believers are united. The devil cannot withstand a group of Christians that operate in unison. However, it is unfortunate that Christians sometimes, allow Satan to manipulate them into engaging in unhealthy rivalry and division.
Different Christian sects struggle against each other and fight for superiority. However, while believers are busy engaging in ungodly rivalry, Satan continues to gain ground. The enemy is making use of the opportunity to attack the Christian community!
Christian churches must endeavor to lay aside all differences and serve God in the beauty of holiness. Believers must unite and serve God together.
There’s no doubt that miracles will happen in the Christian community when we practice love and celebrate unity. The unity of brethren will honor God, and it will also put the devil to shame. Our unity as believers will also transform to our blessings as God’s children.
A lover of Christ scares the devil.
