True Believers Ought To Always Operate In Humility
(Passage: Acts 10)
Servants of God, as well as all other Christians, ought to make humility their lifestyle. This practice will glorify God and also pose a serious challenge to the unbelievers. The unbelievers will emulate the trait of humility from the believers and surrender their lives to God.
Peter (in the bible) demonstrated an act of humility that all Christians must emulate. The scripture reported,
“As Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped him. But Peter lifted him up, saying, “Stand up; I myself am also a man” (Acts 10:25-26).
(Cornelius wanted to worship Peter, being a servant of God, but Peter forbade him with a statement “I am also a fellow human being like you”)
God Alone Deserves To Be Worshiped; Everyone Must Worship Him
God is the only deity that all people must worship; no other deity or human being must be worshiped. Also, no human being should worship money, material wealth, or others. God frowns at any activity that would attempt to share his glory. The Creator can go any extent to withdraw his protection and provision whenever his children refuse to glorify him. It is absolutely dangerous for any Christian to acclaim God’s glory unto himself or herself. Therefore, all people must redirect every due honor to God. After all, no one can achieve any positive thing on earth without the help of God. All people must glorify God in every situation!
Have you ever wondered where you would be without receiving God’s help? Think about how far you’ve come, and ponder on the reasons why he, alone, deserves praises. Ponder on the fact that your life worths nothing without the help of God. God makes every aspect of your life possible; therefore, praise him every day.
Proclaim The Goodness of God In Your Prayers
Dear God, you deserve every honor in my life. You deserve my offering of praises and thanksgiving at all times. No one else can offer me protection and provision like you do! You have sheltered and cared for me in times of need; you gave me peace and earned me a solution to my problems. Why then should I not praise you?
