God’s Children Must Abstain From Sin And Focus On Righteousness
Passage: Zechariah 2
God withdrew his defense from the Israelites because they refused to repent from their sins.
However, the Creator promised to reinstate his relationship with them if they repent.
Jehovah promised to forgive the Israelites’ sin and punish their oppressors should they consider repentance.
God promised to severely deal with enemy nations that took advantage of the Israelites’ negative circumstances.
God stated through his prophet,
“For thus says the Lord of hosts: “He sent me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye. For surely I will shake my hand against them, and they shall become spoil for their servants.
…Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me. “Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion! For behold, I am coming and I will dwell in your midst,” says the Lord. “Many nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day, and they shall become my people.
…And I will dwell in your midst. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you. And the Lord will take possession of Judah as His inheritance in the Holy Land, and will again choose Jerusalem.
…Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord, for He is aroused from His holy habitation!” (Zechariah 2:8-16).

Meanwhile, at the same time, Jehovah, who is caring and forgiving, will forgive any offense that is committed should an act of repentance be exercised.
Our gracious God will kindly deal with anyone who repents of his sins and seeks his forgiveness.
That is, a person who is humble enough to say “sorry” for his mistakes will obtain God’s mercy and be forgiven.
No sin is too big for God to forgive. He will forgive our iniquities no matter the magnitude. The only condition he asks is repentance!
People who repent from their sins will enjoy their benefits. He will give them his salvation and write their names in his Book of Life.
Jehovah will watch over repentant sinners and satisfy them with many benefits. However, everyone must understand that God does not
